This ^^ is interesting - I remembered these little beauties from my childhood while experimenting with possible structures of my interactive object. Thinking about the mobius strip, I was playing with possible designs for a continuous loop of narrative, so tripping the user of the object into a sort of complex mindgame as to where the story begins and ends... This bending and twisting of wire which I was contemplating structuring my object with reminded me of these bead mazes that I played with as a child... and young teen... In discussion with my tutor, we considered how the very shape of the wire almost acts as the narrative - the smooth loopy curved green wire (gentle, relaxed) versus the straight, sharply curved orange wire (decisive, strict). I thought this was a good thing to consider in terms of structure.
